Need for [Sing] is a real time opera game for desperate souls longing for a place. Navigating between realities of the globalized 21st century’s societies requires much more complex and mentally demanding manoeuvres than ever before. This navigation in an ever-changing virtual and physical environment creates a common experience of being lost in realities, of belonging nowhere but everywhere, a constant feeling of longing for a place where we haven’t been, or that doesn’t exist at all, the diculty of “arriving”, and yet being able to stay.
The “game” is played in dierent “rooms”, rooms are based on the construction phases of building a house. In order to find a better place, 5 archetypes battle in a game to win “freedom”. While synchronising and desynchronizing, the search for inner peace is constructed through fusionistic music and camp clothes.
